Dr Chandrika Parmar

Chandrika is a specialist in reproductive medicine who prides herself on the time and attention given to each patient, mindful of the potential affect any delays can have on declining fertility she facilitates appointments to suit patient needs, enabling patients to achieve their desired outcome sooner.
Chandrika commenced her medical training in India achieving master of surgery and Fellow of the Royal College of Gynaecology before moving to Australia where she trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne. Chandrika then attained a Masters of Reproductive Medicine from the University of NSW and undertook further training in reproductive medicine at the Mercy Hospital for Women and the Women’s Hospital over a three-year period.
Chandrika is an experienced fertility consultant and part of the surrogacy review committee at Melbourne IVF, she also holds a public appointment at The Women’s Hospital as a reproductive and endocrine specialist.
Chandrika uses her broad fertility expertise to help patients in a wide variety of situations. Although her experience covers all aspects of infertility, she has a particular interest in In Vitro Maturation (IVM) and has undergone intensive training in IVM in Milan, Italy. Her other special interests include male and female factor infertility, reproductive endocrinology, donor gametes, surrogacy and fertility preservation.
Chandrika’s professional memberships include Fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), Fertility Society of Australian (FSA), European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and Australian Medical Association (AMA).
