Dr Wan Tinn Teh

Wan is a gynaecologist and fertility specialist. With a focus on research and improving outcomes for women with endometriosisfibroids and uterine abnormalities, Wan has a special interest in helping couples with some of the most challenging fertility and reproductive endocrinology problems. Wan is also skilled in range of general gynaecological and fertility-related surgical procedures, including laparoscopic, hysteroscopic procedures and microsurgery for tubal ligation reversal.

Wan graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery in 2004. She also holds the Masters of Reproductive Medicine from the University of New South Wales and a PhD. Wan completed her general specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Monash Medical Centre, before joining Reproductive Services Unit at The Royal Women’s Hospital in 2012.

Wan is actively involved in research, most recently contributing to the Randomised trial of Endometrial Scratching before In Vitro Fertilisation which was published in January 2019, demonstrating that the treatment doesnt not result in higher live birth rates for women undergoing IVF. In 2013, Wan was awarded the National Health and  Medical Research Council Medical Postgraduate Scholarship to investigate the determinants of uterine receptivity in women with implantation failure.

Dr Teh speaks fluent Mandarin and is also able to consult with her patients in Mandarin if preferred.
